''LOONABILLY ROCK 'N' ROLL''

'Loonabilly Rock 'n' Roll' (The Anthem)
Screaming Lord Sutch formed the Official Monster Raving Loony Party with Alan Hope (who was performing as "Kerry Rapid" in the early 60s) and drummer Wild Bob Burgos in 1981.
Its policy: having fun out of life.
Wild Bob Burgos wrote the official Party anthem: a song entitled 'Loonabilly Rock 'n' Roll', which featured on a limited edition 4-track single, first recorded in London, and released in October 1981 to launch the new Screaming Lord Sutch's party.
EP 'Loonabilly Rock 'n' Roll' was re-released in Britain in 1989 on RIDGEMOUNT label (RMR-45-010) with bonus track "Loon Party".

There must be more than 15 records that have been released when Wild Bob Burgos was with Screaming Lord Sutch..

Wild Bob Burgos
"'Screaming Lord Sutch and the Savages' was a household name across Britain and throughout Europe for many years in the Pop / Rock 'n' Roll world.. .Screaming Lord Sutch was a very colourful character who always wanted to take his music and stage shows to a greater level. His love for theatre a Horror movies was the perfect combination for him to include on all his live concerts that proved very successful. Of course there were many people who thought David was completely out of his mind when he combined Horror with Rock 'n' Roll music, and so The Monster Raving Loony Party formed back in 1981. A friend of Davids for many years was a guy called Alan Hope who owned a large public house in the Devon area of England where we played many gigs.... This pub was to be the headquaters for Davids Loony Party for many years to follow, and so I wrote a song entitled 'Loonabilly Rock 'n' Roll' for David as an official Party anthem! Being the drummer of the Savages meant I had enough on my plate, and I wanted to concentrate more on the music with the band, but it was Alan and David who started the ball rolling for the Official Loony Party all those years ago. The Loony Party was for people who wanted fun out of life, colourful characters dressing up in whatever they chose to wear, and being Loony at the same time, and it became more successful than any of us imagined, and is still very popular today. To write about the 'Loony Party' and its whole history in the making, would take many months to complete, but the fun we all had back in those crazy but great Rock 'n' Roll days was really unbelievable, and it thrills me everytime I remember them!!"
